Dmitri Evtuschenko is a contemporary artist working in various genres. At the beginning of his creative activity he preferred portraits. He created images of famous actors and writers as well as lyrical portraits of his close friends. The artist later became interested in urban landscapes. He liked to depict the streets of russian and european cities. This is not just a depiction of famous views of Venice or St. Petersburg, but an attempt to find unusual motifs of these cities that are in harmony with the author's inner state of soul. In recent years the author has discovered the genre of still life. The main principle is not the representation of separate objects, but the harmony of shades, lines and spots that create a holistic composition.
Dmitri Evtuschenko's creative credo is to reach a synthesis of the existing experiences of previous generations of masters and to add this with a personal feel for the present.
The artist devotes a lot of time to teaching and deems it necessary to share his own experiences and discoveries and to educate art students not using a standard program, but based on their individuality, always using different methods.
